So it's been a while since I posted and I do apologise but coming towards the end of the year has proven to be more manic than I anticipated or expected.
Two Fridays ago, Sandro and I decided to venture out to the South to visit the Olive and Oil in Glenwood- rumour had it that they had revamped their menu and I was eager to try it out for myself. A lovely evening. We had a 3 course meal and I was quite adamant that each of our courses were from the 'new' additions.
We started off the night with their basil, feta and tomato focaccia, personally it could have been a little more crispy but I think the tomato base made it more 'pizza - ish' than 'focacciay'- flavoursome nonetheless.

For mains I had the smashed coriander chicken breasts rubbed in herbs, presented on a bed of greens and served with a dollop of tzatziki and it came with an unusual side of cherry tomatoes and boiled egg segments.
Sandro had the surf and turf called the Caesar Sirloin- 300g sirloin topped with 3 prawns, served with a portion of Cajun grilled calamari and some rosemary baby potatoes. It was yummy, unfort they over cooked his meat a little too much for his liking and forgot his veggies but the calamari was really succulent and I would def recommend that.
Dessert we branched out and tried their new milk tart pot a little disappointing as it had a sponge layer in it as opposed to the biscuity base that traditional milk tart has but I'm always eager to try different variations of old school classics.
Until next time
